Manique, a leading Communication specialist in Sri Lanka, channelled her wealth of experience in the development sector to launch Rainbow Resources Lanka, RRL, a not for profit organization committed to social development and Rainbow Institute of Communication and English, a private company, operating as a social enterprise in 2010. Manique has extensive experience in Communication and Media, having started her career as a journalist for the “Island” newspaper and serving as the head of Communication and Media for national and international organizations, including The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, MTV television and MBC network (YES FM and SIRASA FM), HDFC Bank and the European Union Embassy in Sri Lanka. She has also served as Communication Advisor to the Berghoff Foundation for Conflict Studies and International Alert.

Yashasmi is our Business Development Executive who is always happy to help those interested in our programmes. She is also a third culture individual with a love for doing macrame and growing bonsai. Although born in Sri Lanka, she grew up in the United Arab Emirates for 15 years before returning for further study. While working towards first-class honours in International Business & Management, she privately tutored Spoken English for students of various ages which brought great satisfaction and served as a creative outlet. To Yashasmi, joining Rainbow Institute was a union of her interest in the area of marketing and education.

Ali is a bright, young and detailed focused finance professional who possesses advanced numerical and analytical skills. While being passionate about finance, he is also interested in working in projects that are committed to empowering groups such as the marginalized and vulnerable.

Dilushana is a bubbly, talkative and career-oriented individual. Due to her multicultural experience in Malaysia and knowledge as a Psychological Science graduate, she possesses strong people skills, making her shine as our Customer Relations Executive. She is an award-winning student and gold medalist at the International Institute of Music, Drama and Speech. Before joining Rainbow Institute, Dilushana’s passion for fighting for women’s rights led her to do her internship at the Centre for Equality and Justice. A fun fact about her is that she loves to eat ice cream and firmly believes that an ice cream a day keeps her problems away!

Lovelyn has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Degree, from the Hindusthan College of Engineering, affiliated to the Anna University of Coimbatore, INDIA. Specialising in customer service and sales, she has 5 years of experience as a Support Officer and Senior Associate Account Receivable Officer at HCL Technologies Pvt Ltd & Ajuba Solutions respectively in India. She has to her credit an excellence award for her commendable contribution towards customer service. Lovelyn is a peoples’ person and enjoys meeting and serving people from various backgrounds.
